Nick LaRocca is Notable.

Called the "Columbus of Jazz," Nick LaRocca became world-famous as the leader and cornet player for the Original Dixieland Jazz Band which was the first orchestra to record jazz in 1917.

He and the group became the composers of some of the oldest jazz standards including, Livery Stable Blues, Tiger Rag and Fidgety Feet.
